i'll try not to do this to often but it just crossed my mind

if someone bort you a present and you really hated it would you keep it or exsplain to the person that you don't like it and hope they understand

Hm. I would keep it and sell it somewhere else *grin*.

I would thank the person, and if I really didn't like it I'd explain that to the person tactfully. I've only had to do that once, when one of my aunts bought me a jacket. I told her that I liked it but really didn't wear heavy jackets, but said that I'd need a backpack for college. So she took back the jacket and got me the backpack. And I still love it, even though it's torn and I should get a new one. *smiles* (I've had it for like 2 years so that's why.) But if it were something else that I just wasn't that into, like another aunt has bought me several Spungebob stuff, I don't mind keeping it. (I guess she bought them because they talk, so I'm thankful she took that into consideration, that I like things that talk, feel interesting, etc.)

Well I think my former topic was a joke. I think I would tell them that it is not my type, but maybe not immediately. I might talk to this person in private then, not in front of - maybe other people.

I'd accept the gift and say nothing after all, they were good enough to spend money on me in the 1st place...

I would dispose of the present and the next time I thought they were going to buy me one, I'd craftily suggest something I'd be more likely to appreciate. I wouldn't want to put them off buying me presents.

I would find a use for it. After all, it's the thought that counts and I'm pretty good at finding uses for random things.
